Jerry Buckmaster, 78, of Dyer, IN passed away on July 15, 2019, surrounded by his family and closest friends, after a courageous 2 year battle with MDS.
He is survived by Children; Shannon (Karen) Buckmaster, Steven (Beth) Buckmaster, Melissa (Russ) Johnson, and Anita Buckmaster, Grandchildren; Ava, Chandler, Jordan, Reese and Shelby, Sister Connie (Hank) Werner, fiancé and longtime companion of 17 years; Penny Kuzmich (children; Jon, Robyn and Heather), Niece Dr. Kristin (Robert) Werner, Nephews Brian Werner, and Mark Werner, and dear friends Ron Becker, Rick Damron and Scott Guffey.
Jerry was happiest when pulling into his driveway after a long day’s work. He enjoyed winding down and relaxing outside of his garage with a nice cigar and the good company of close friends. But don’t let the enjoyment of relaxation fool you, Jerry also had quite the passion for fast cars and a need for speed. He will be remembered best for the love that he had for his family.
A private family service for Jerry will be conducted at a later date.
