Larry Hostetler, 67, of Merrillville, IN passed away on July 15, 2019, surrounded by his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Colleen Hostetler, Children; Jeffery (Jennifer) Hostetler, and Jason (Michelle) Hostetler, Grandchildren; Felicia, Amaya, Elyse, Natalie, Chase, Addison, and Eliana, Sister; Kathy Cunningham, Brother; Danny Hostetler, and Stepmom; Carolyn Hostetler.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Hostetler and Doris Hostetler-Sellers (Bowers), and Brother Randy Hostetler.

Larry courageously battled MS for 25 years, all the while maintaining a positive outlook, great sense of humor, and a level of independence that far exceeded general expectations. He was a tech mastermind, and was able to construct and re-construct nearly anything to suit the needs of himself or someone in need. He was always seen as a great wealth of knowledge to his sons, and the intelligence and wisdom he radiated will be greatly missed by all who were so lucky to have known him. The greatest struggle that Larry encountered was not MS itself, but the inability to help others in the capacity he once was able to. His ability to adapt and overcome up until the very end serves as great encouragement to his family that he was a true fighter, and his sickness did not define him. True to his humble personality, and per Larry’s wishes, there will be no services conducted.
