Never leave 'I love you' un-said... Dawn Marie Penrose 11/30/62 - 08/15/23 On August 15, 2023 Dawn took her last breath at 5:22 pm in the ICU of Northwest Health- Porter. Dawn was a brave warrior fighting many battles at once, but left this world surrounded by her children, family and friends. Preceded in death by her Grandparents and Great Grandparents, her Mother; Gloria Penrose, her Father; Virgil Penrose Sr., a Son; Shawn Penrose, her best friend; Trish Dolph, many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Nephews. Roger Dennis Nawrot July 4, 1943 - July 29, 2023 Preceded in death by his beloved parents; Walter & Stella and son; Michael. Roger was born at home in Chicago, IL during WWII. Formerly of Austell, GA since 1974, he was a resident of Schererville, IN since 2022. Marie-Therese was born in Sterpenich, Belgium and grew up, a proud Walloon, in Namur, Belgium. She was in her teens during WWII and recalled with great detail, an actual air raid she experienced while fleeing their home. During WWII she met an American Army soldier, Edward Martin. After the war was over, Edward came back to propose to Marie. Both of her parents approved and after they were married, they traveled back to America on the Queen Mary, and Marie quickly became an American citizen in 1947. They were married
