Randy Owens (August 6, 1962 – February 9, 2021)

On Tuesday, February 9th, 2021, Randy Joe Owens passed away peacefully at Methodist Hospital in Merrillville, Indiana. Randy was born on August 6th, 1962 in Huntsville, Alabama to Dorothy Jean Owens. He grew up in Chicago and joined the Army at age 18. He had a number of wonderful careers in steel mills, physical therapy, trucking, and management settings. He is survived by his wife, Solongo Owens, as well as many wonderful family members and friends. He helped raise 2 sons and 2 daughters; Randy Joe Owens II, Khuslen Solongo,

Anita Nicely (July 23, 1928 – February 7, 2021)

Anita Nicely (nee Kohlmeier), age 92, of Wheatfield, IN, formerly of Calumet City, IL passed away surrounded by family and friends on February 7, 2021. After a difficult battle with Alzheimer's disease, she was ready to go home to the husband she loved dearly and lost too soon. She lived in anticipation of the day she would once again get to reunite with her passed loved ones. She is survived by her daughter, Saundra DeLira, Grandchildren: Nicole Olejnik and Tiffany DeLira, Great Grandchildren: Caleb, Brynn and Josslyn, siblings: Gisela, Ursula

Patricia Brandenburg (March 7, 1956 – February 2, 2021)

Patricia Brandenburg (Hatfield), nee Monsma, age 64, passed away on February 2, 2021. She is survived by her children; Tonya (Alex) Mccallister, Melissa Hatfield and Brandon (Christy) Hatfield, Grandchildren; Terry, Anna, Beth, Colleen, Angel, Ariel and Terah-lynn, Great grandchildren; Braxton and Charlotte, siblings; Sandy (Rich) Kulik, Pam (Larry) Meyers, and Tony Monsma, several nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog, Poppey. Preceded in death by her parents Charles and Geraldine Monsma, her first husband; Terry Lee Hatfield and her second husband; Richard Brandenburg. Patricia was a former teacher for CDC

Karen Djenka (May 20, 1939 – January 29, 2021)

Karen J. Djenka (Bruce) passed away on January 29, 2021 at the age of 81. She is preceded in death by her husband, John J. Djenka. She is survived by her only child, John A. Djenka. Karen worked at Menards for the past 20 years. She was a past High Priestess of the Ladies Oriental Shrine and member for over 50 years. Karen will be laid to rest at Elmwood Cemetery in Hammond, IN. No service will be given.
