It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of Cornelio S. Chavez's passing on November 26, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his loving wife and daughters. Born on September 16, 1942, in Monte Alto, TX, Cornelio was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He proudly served as a Millwright at Bethlehem/Mital Steel for 38 years before retiring. Cornelio leaves behind his beloved wife, Barbara J. (Mashburn) Pace, whom he married on August 3, 2001. He is also survived by his cherished daughters, Barbra Chavez Zeisig, Cailee

Robert E. Sills, 71, of Gary, Indiana, died Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at his residence. He was born July 1, 1954, in Pekin, Illinois, to Martin C. and Mildred J. (Croney) Sills. Surviving are his sister, Sandra C. Denys of Lowell, Indiana; his brother, Charles B. Sills of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and several nieces and nephews.
