Anna “Cookie” Preuss, 75, of Gary, IN, formerly of Calumet City, IL and Buchanan, MI, passed away on September 19, 2021.
She is survived by her son; Michael (Joanie) Blakeney, grandsons; James Blakeney and Jonathan Blakeney, and siblings; John, Jimmy and Donald.
Preceded in death by her parents; Vernon and Marian Kerr (nee Harbach), and siblings; Vernon, Mary, Bill, Francis, Richard, Fern, Cindy and Ray.
Cookie worked as a bartender for many years at the American Legion in Calumet City, IL and then at the Moose Lodge in Buchanan, MI.
She will be greatly missed by those near and dear to her. She will always have a special place in the heart of her son and grandsons.
