Robert Florence Cardenas, aka "USA Bob", 69, of Hammond, IN, was called home on March 21, 2025. Robert was born on March 8, 1956 in Victoria, TX, to Trinidad and Eustorgio Cardenas. Robert was the youngest of 10. Throughout his life, Robert worked numerous jobs in security in Waukegan and Chicago, Illinois. Connie Shields-Macon, 82, of Gary, IN, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2025. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, on December 17, 1942, she moved to Chicago with her family at age 10, in search of a better life. A 1961 Parker High School graduate, she first attended Dillard University, where she pledged Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and displayed exceptional bravery as the "Ace" of her line.
