DAVID DEAN STOKES,66, formerly of Lake Station, Indiana, passed away peacefully at VNA HOSPICE CENTER in Valparaiso, Indiana on February 7,2020.
David Dean was preceded in death by his parents, Millard and Rovellia Stokes and a brother Darrell Eugene Stokes. He is survived by 3 sons and a daughter, David Stokes of Valparaiso, Indiana, Brendan Stokes (Koree) of Portage, Indiana, Jeff Stokes of Michigan City, Indiana, Becky Williams (Brian) of Lake Station, Indiana; 1 brother, Dewayne Stokes (Ty) of Surgis, Kentucky; 2 sisters, Patricia Hamblin (Tom) of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Deborah Stanley (Joe) of Portage, Indiana; 11 grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Very dear friends who helped care for him; Joann Jones of Valparaiso, Indiana and Susie Felts (Joe) of Michigan City, Indiana. David requested cremation. A private remembrance ceremony is being planned for a later date.
