Harry was born November 6, 1940 in Calumet City, IL to Kenneth & Ida (Posch) Parish.
Harry served his Country from 1960 to 1964 as an active Marine serving as a sharpshooter and truck driver, and reserve status from 1964 to 1966.
In 1963 Harry married Sandra (Holder) Parish who preceded him in death; together they had 5 children Evonne (Jeffrey) Higdon, Lakeville, IN, Albert Parish Lakeville IN, Edward (Kisha) Parish South Bend IN, Kenneth and Harry Jr. Parish Michigan City, IN. He had 6 Grandchildren Jeffrey II (Jackie) Higdon, Schererville, IN, Lashanda Higdon Lakeville, IN, Tyler Parish South Bend, IN, Kenneth II, Stephanie and Bryan Parish, Michigan City, IN; 3 greatgrandchildren Jeffrey III, Jordyn Higdon and Eva Deenik. Harry also leaves one brother Kenneth Parish, Detroit, MI and sister Ida (Al) Koch Michigan city, IN.
Harry was preceded in death by two grandchildren Ronald and Robert Parish, a greatgrand son Kavionne Higdon, Sister Diane Handtke Michigan City, IN and brother Albert “John” Parish Michigan City, IN.

In 2002 Harry married Annette “Barb Carapezza together they bred Macaw birds (their children) who now live all over the world, Harry was known as the Birdman but he was also skilled in gardening, cooking and carpentry. Harry and Barb won several awards for their beautiful yard (Parrotdise) that looked like a botanical garden. Harry took great pride in how beautiful the yard was. Barb passed in 2017 and Harry missed her dearly. Harry enjoyed going to the casino and was always willing to help others. Harry will be missed by many.

Military services will take place 1pm July 21, 2022 at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood IL. Cremation and help with arrangements by Crown Cremation Services.
