Margaret (Peggy) Anne Holloway age 64 was born on August 20, 1956 in Lynn, Massachusetts and passed peacefully in her home on August 17, 2021 in Kentland, Indiana. Peggy is survived by a sister Jane Hurton of Hopkinton, Massachusetts, a brother, James Holloway of Lynn, Massachusetts, two sons, Ryan Washburn of Kentland, Indiana (finance Joni) and Marc Washburn of Ft. Myers, Florida (wife May), seven grandchildren, Liam, Ali, Owen, Nora, Farrah, Evan, and Zachariah and three step-grandchildren, Landon, Kyson, and Remi as well as her Uncle Daniel McCarthy, Aunt Eileen McCarthy, Aunt Patricia McCarthy and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Peggy enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, trying new recipes and talking with her friends and family. Peggy was quick to make friends and was always up for a laugh. Peggy was kind and generous with her time and always sought ways to help others, from volunteering at her children’s schools when they were young, to later volunteering her time to Senior and Adult Guardianship Advocates (SAGA) as a volunteer to assist intellectually and developmentally disabled young adults. Peggy was preceded in death by her partner, J.J. Ochoa, her mother, Mary (McCarthy) Holloway, her father, Ellsworth “Al” Holloway, her brother, Thomas Holloway, and nephew, Jason Hurton.
Peggy will be deeply missed by her family and friends. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Lynn, Massachusetts, Friday, September 3, 2021 at 10:00 am EDT with a burial service to follow.
