Ronnie L. Sons, Age 63, formerly of Hobart, Indiana passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 15, 2021. Ronnie is survived by his loving companion of 13 years, Michele Szpak; children: Candice (Greg) Hoagland and Anthony “Lewis” (Robbie) Sons; grandchildren: Blakely Sons and Beckett Sons; mother: Norma L. (nee Skomp) Sons; brothers: Tommy Sons and Danny Sons; sisters: Peggy (George) Glotzbach, Betty Sons, Diane (John) Evanovich, Linda (Eric) Nahod; sister-in-law: Deborah Sons; cousin and close friend: Jamie Skomp; several cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Ronnie is preceded in death by grandson: Breccan L. Sons; father: Hurshel R. Sons; brothers: Johnnie (LaDonna) Sons, Kirk Sons and David Sons; nieces: Felecia Sons, Toni Kirk; nephew: DJ Sons. All of whom are awaiting him with a fishing pole and a cold one. Ronnie attended Hobart schools. He went on to work for Elgin, Joliet and Eastern Railway (EJ&E). Ronnie also worked carpentry with his father and brothers. He had many passions, including cooking, garage sales, fishing, and most of all, tinkering with small engine repair.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 12, 2021 at Deep River County Park (Pavilion #4) in Hobart, IN from 12:00pm to 6:00pm.
