Richard graduated from the Indiana School for the Deaf in 1965. He was employed by the US Post Office in Gary, IN and retired after 34 ½ years of service. Working at the post office he met and became life-long friends with many people. He was always an avid bowler and competed on leagues for most of his life. Richard also loved playing poker and would participate in many tournaments and games as often as he could. Through both bowling and poker, he met so many great people and became good friends with several. If there was a question or challenge during a poker game, players would call on Richard to decide who was correct. He was always joking around or teasing people and laughing.
Richard was a great man and will be missed by his family and friends.
