Donna Kathleen Barton, Age 61, died on December 22, 2020, as a result of complications of colon cancer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Will and Kay Barton, sister Rita and brother Richard.
Donna is survived by sisters Nancy Franczyk, Joanne Kelty, and Susan Coman. She was
aunt to nieces Kate Kelty, Lisa Barnholdt, and Sarah Barton and nephews Tim Kelty and
Chris Franczyk. She also left behind her bird Comiskey who has been recently adopted.
Donna grew up in the Roseland area on the southside of Chicago and then moved to
Crown Point, IN. She attended St. Catherine of Genoa School in Chicago and
Merrillville High School in Indiana. Most recently Donna lived in Valparaiso, IN.
She enjoyed taking pictures and making videos. Her fondest project was the making
of two videos about her father who died at the young age 58. These videos were
Donna’s tribute to her father and she was extremely proud of her work on these
videos.
