Rodney Shane Stoll, 48, of Westville passed away on December 31, 2021 in Valparaiso, IN surrounded by family. He was born on November 15, 1973 in Valparaiso.
A Union Carpenter (Local 1485) with Solid Platforms, he enjoyed wood working, fishing, and cooking. He loved watching movies, playing basketball, and being with friends and family. As a talented artist, he also loved to draw.
Rod was a selfless father, generous friend, and would always steal the spotlight with his eccentric humor and kind insults.
He is survived by his mother, Nancy Marcum née Reynolds of Westville; brothers Gregory Stoll of Flomaton, AL and Randy (Jessica) Stoll of Laporte, IN; children Samantha (Anthony) Parker of Valparaiso, Austin (Morgan) Stoll of Laporte, and Nicholas Stoll of Laporte. Proud Grandfather to grand-fur-babies Jaxx the Cat, Sophie Stoll, Nala Stoll, Storm Stoll, Zeus Stoll, and the late Bella Stoll. He was preceded in death by his step-father George Marcum of Westville.
As it would be his request, there will be no service. Please join us for a Celebration of Life at American Legion Post 403 (203 S Washington St. Wanatah, IN 46390, 219-733-2832) this Saturday January 8th from 12pm – 10pm Central. Formal dress not required. Denim-on-denim is welcome although you will not be able to pull it off as good as Rod.
