Homer is survived by his loving wife of 32 years; Rita Day, his Children; Paul Day, Peter (Chris) Day, Robert (Susan) Lynch, Tammy (Larry) Houseman, Tony (Jennifer) Lynch, Randy (Deanna) Lynch, Susan (George) Crawford, Charlena (Terry) Enloe, 32 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents; Carl and Virginia Day and Grandsons Corey Lynch and Nicholas Taylor.
Homie retired from Sloan Valve in Augusta, Arkansas in 2013 and loved watching old movies, cooking and playing darts. He was an avid animal lover and loved the boxer breed; Woodro and Dueca also preceded him in death.
A memorial gathering in his honor will be held on February 19, 2022 at the VFW Post 7881; located at 6831 Kennedy Ave. Hammond, IN 46323, at
2:30 PM, with Robert A. Schindley doing jokes… ’cause Homie don’t play that.
