Ronald “Smitty” David Smith, 72, of LaPorte, IN passed away January 31, 2022.
He is survived by his daughter Shelley(Todd) Childress, 2 grandsons Nathan & Nickolas Childress, one sister Vicki(Curt) Schultz, 2 nieces Kelly(Sam)Benn & Stacey McClain and a great nephew Tyler Benn, all of LaPorte IN, and many wonderful lifelong friends.
He was preceeded in death by his parents Grover & Juanita(Kowalski)Smith & a brother, Tyrone Smith.
Ron loved anything to do with construction or cars. He loved playing poker & spending time with friends. He was a avid Chicago Bears & Chicago Cubs fan.
A private dinner/burial will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to LaPorte County Small Animal Shelter in the Memory of Ronald “Smitty“ Smith.
