Rory Gentry, 51, of La Porte, Indiana passed away peacefully on February 5, 2022.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jan Gentry. Rory is survived by his daughter; Saavik Boomgarden, son-in-law; Austin Boomgarden, two Grandchildren, Aunt; Jo Jones, and dear friend; Joan Gamble.
Rory was a skilled worker who mastered every trade he ever learned, and always took pride in his work. He used his various skills to help friends or friends-of-friends, whenever he could. In his spare time, Rory loved to watch movies, keep up with current events, talk on the phone with his best friend Jim, and cook.
Rory’s sense of humor, smile, and chocolate chip banana bread will be missed by all in his close circle.
Per Rory’s wishes, he will be cremated and no public service will be held.
