Sidney Lee Evans 67 of Valparaiso, Indiana formerly of Robinson, Illinois died on Friday February 18, 2022.
Sid was born with his twin sister Nancy in Robinson, Illinois on January 26, 1955. His parents were George and June Evans. He was welcomed by his older brother Brian.
At an early age Sid began working at Thompson’s Drug Store. Later he worked for Black and Bernhardt Men’s clothing store. For several years he worked for Sears in Robinson, Illinois and in other cities. Sid married Becky Dobis April 2, 1983, of Valparaiso, Indiana and they managed a chain of Beauty Salons together for years. His whole life he was very involved with his religious beliefs as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
He is survived by his wife, Becky Evans of 38 years, his twin sister Nancy Yarvis of Valparaiso, Indiana, his brother Brian and wife Jane of Robinson, Illinois, his nephews Matt, Jesse and wife Kelly, Dustin and great nephew Elias. His nieces Michelle, Summer and husband Scott, Allison, Rylee and a great niece Haley.
There will be no in person services. Funeral services will be via Zoom on March 5, 2022, at 1:00 pm Central time.
