Kenneth W. Reeder Sr. of Hobart, IN, passed away in the comfort of his home on May 19, 2023 at the age of 76, with his loving wife by his side.
Kenny was born and raised in Gary, IN. He graduated from Calumet High School in 1966 and immediately joined the Army, he was then deployed to Vietnam from 1966-1968. He completed his service with an Honorable Discharge as Private First Class. Kenny was a proud Union Painter for Local 460; District Council 91, and retired after 48 years of service.
He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Brenda, son, Kenneth Jr. (Jennifer), grandson, Ryan, and sister, Connie (Wayne) and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in passing by his parents, Claude and Charlotte Reeder and his sister, Charlene Hull.
Kenny will be laid to rest May 31, 2023 at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville, IN. The procession will leave promptly at 10:45 am from the East parking area of Calumet Park Funeral Chapel, 7535 W. Taft St., Merrillville, IN. After the ceremony, a celebration of life luncheon will be offered, details to be provided.
