Dennis Eugene (Gene) Noffsinger, 73, born August 12, 1950, in Decatur IL, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2024, peacefully at home in Crown Point.
He is survived by two sons; Steven Noffsinger and Chad Noffsinger, sister; Linda Charters, former wife and mother of Steven; Earline Correll and mother of Chad; Cindy Mills, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his sons; Nicholas Noffsinger and Darrell Noffsinger, stepdaughter; Brigitte Johnson, parents; Harold and Juanita Noffsinger, sister; Juanita Hindson, and brothers; Harold (Bub) Noffsinger and Timothy Noffsinger.
Gene spent many years working for Don’s Butcher Shop, Kay Manufacturing and Jellystone Park Camp & Resort in Pierceton, IN. In his past time, he enjoyed long motorcycle rides with his brother-in-Law (Rich) and his son (Steven). He spent his later years camping and working as Security and Park Ranger at Jellystone Park. Gene was a friend to everyone he met. He was able to bring a smile to a face and those that knew him, will forever miss his humor.
Instead of a funeral, the family has decided to have a Celebration of Life Service to be determined at a later date. Friends and family will be notified of the date and location.
