Ruben Gonzalez, 67, of Lake Station, IN passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, February 1, 2024.
He is survived by his son; Ruben R. (Anna) Gonzalez, stepdaughter; Danielle (Blake) Kuiper Pelzer, grandchildren; Carson and Teagan, siblings; Alma Gonzalez, Nora (Hugo) Bravo, Anita Cartagena, Sandra (Robert) Otero, and Albert Gonzalez, mother; Liduvina Gonzalez, and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his father; Amelio Gonzalez, brother; Amelio Gonzalez Jr. and maternal grandparents; Alberto and Lily Ventura.
Ruben was a proud US Army veteran. He greatly enjoyed the great outdoors and everything it had to offer, especially fishing. He could often be found hanging out with friends and family in much of his spare time.
Out of respect for Ruben’s final wishes, there will be no services held. The memories shared with him will be enough to cherish and honor his legacy.
