Gordon “Ken” Royter, 62, of Merrillville, IN passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 16, 2024.
Survived by his children, Madelyne (Ethan) Scates; Lauren (Abelardo) Soriano and Jack Royter, grandchildren, Sofia Soriano; Emily Soriano and baby girl Scates, Father, Gordon (Sandy) Royter; siblings, Lynda; Jennifer; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and former spouse, Jan Royter.
Preceded in death by his mother, Kathy Kyte, sister Collette and brother Steven, grandparents, Roy and Bessie Royter; Max and Ruth Kyte, Bish and Bessie McCafferty and former mother and father in-law, Anthony and Clara Stefanelli.
Ken enjoyed art, reading, hunting and fishing in his spare time. More than anything though, he enjoyed spending time with his beloved granddaughters. Ken was also a proud Father and Navy veteran.
A private memorial ceremony will be held in Ken’s honor.
