On August 29, 1953 she married Bob Brooks. Together, they raised four sons. Nancy worked as a homemaker and was a frequent volunteer at school, often embracing the role of “Room mom”. She worked on many Class of 51 reunions and enjoyed staying connected to her classmates.
She was preceded in death by husband, Robert J. Brooks, sons Steven P. and Robert M. Brooks; Her parents, Henry and Rose Lindeman and siblings: Louis, Marian, Robert and twin sister, Bonnie Rose.
She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, sunbathing, long walks and a glass of wine or two. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and reading. She always had a smile on her face and loved a good laugh. She liked watching sports, so she could connect with her boys, and was an avid IU Basketball Fan.
She leaves behind many nieces and nephews who she always made sure received a birthday card or special note from Aunt Nancy.
Nancy taught us all about love, patience and kindness. She always made everyone feel like the most important person in the world. Her compassion and empathy she freely gave set the example for her family to strive for.
