Robert Florence Cardenas, aka “USA Bob”, 69, of Hammond, IN, was called home on March 21, 2025. Robert was born on March 8, 1956 in Victoria, TX, to Trinidad and Eustorgio Cardenas. Robert was the youngest of 10. Throughout his life, Robert worked numerous jobs in security in Waukegan and Chicago, Illinois.
Robert was proceeded in death by his parents, Eustorgio and Trinidad Cardenas; siblings: Rebecca Willis, Ronald Cardenas, David Cardenas, and nephew Erik Cardenas.
Left to cherish his memory are his siblings: Mary Lou Ermert (late Gerald), and Mary Sue Cardenas of Chesterton, Rudy (late Ramona) of Victoria, TX, and Rita (Daniel) Mucha of Crown Point. He is further survived by his children: Denise Cardenas of Zion, IL, Holly Washington (Brian) of Lexington, KY, and Branden and Collin Maglio of Winthrop Harbor, IL. He leaves behind 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild and several great nieces and nephews as well as countless cousins. He also had a companion, Nila Gutierrez for many years. He will be missed dearly and never forgotten.
