Joy Anna Valek (nee Wunderlich), 88, of Portage, Indiana passed away on November 17, 2020. She was born in Barberton, Ohio on July 21, 1932. Joy enjoyed her first job, working summers while in college, at the Barberton Public Library. Joy attended Kent State University and received a Bachelor's degree in Science in Elementary Education. She then furthered her education at Indiana University, where she earned her Master's degree as a Library Media Specialist. Joy worked for many years in the Barberton, OH school system and then continued her career

Florence “Flo” Annette (Conrick) Forbes, 63 of Valparaiso, Indiana passed on Saturday, November 14, 2020. Flo was born on August 28, 1957 in Valparaiso, Indiana, the daughter of Jack Conrick and Bulah “Meta” (Rittel) Conrick. Flo graduated with a nursing degree from Purdue University North Central and spent many years of her nursing career working for Porter Regional Hospital in various departments. Preceding Flo’s passing were her parents; oldest son, Jack Ryan Forbes; “other half” David Gast; and brother-in-law, Shane MacLean. Surviving are her 2 sons, John (Veronica Madrigal) Forbes;

Dallas Lovejoy, age 66, of Knox, IN passed away on November 9, 2020. He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Lisa Lovejoy (nee Griner), his children: Rodney Lovejoy, Joycie Lovejoy, Isabella Lovejoy, his stepchildren: Rosie Snider and Britteny Snider, and his brother: Blue Lovejoy. Leslie Newton Walls, born on March 15, 1966 in Hammond, Indiana, passed away to be with our Lord and Savior on November 8, 2020, at age 54, while at his home in Lake Station, Indiana. Les was an avid hunter and fisherman and was well known in the marshes and on the shoreline. Connie Jeanne Poole passed away peacefully at home in Crown Point, Indiana, on November 8, 2020, after a valiant fight with ALS, just one month after her 69 th birthday.
