Joy Anna Valek (nee Wunderlich), 88, of Portage, Indiana passed away on November 17, 2020. She was born in Barberton, Ohio on July 21, 1932. Joy enjoyed her first job, working summers while in college, at the Barberton Public Library. Joy attended Kent State University and received a Bachelor's degree in Science in Elementary Education. She then furthered her education at Indiana University, where she earned her Master's degree as a Library Media Specialist. Joy worked for many years in the Barberton, OH school system and then continued her career

Flo was born on August 28, 1957 in Valparaiso, Indiana, the daughter of Jack Conrick and Bulah “Meta” (Rittel) Conrick. Flo graduated with a nursing degree from Purdue University North Central and spent many years of her nursing career working for Porter Regional Hospital in various departments.
