Douglas Gossett (May 4, 1940 – February 2, 2020)

Douglas Wayne Gossett, known as "Snake Bite", of Hammond, IN passed away on February 2, 2020. He was born on May 4, 1940 to Hershel and Dorothy Gossett, both of whom preceded him in death, as well as his sisters, June Ragland and Marilyn Gossett. He is survived by his brother Ronnie Gossett. He was a proud Army veteran. Douglas married Carolyn Jane Gossett (nee Rayburn), who preceded him in death. From that union, they had two children:  Jeff Gossett, who preceded him in death, and Gary (Vicky) Gossett, Grandchildren:

Arlene DuPont (November 21, 1935 – January 24, 2020)

Arlene F. DuPont, born November 21, 1935, was embraced in the arms of The Holy Spirit, our Lord Jesus Christ and Our Heavenly Father on January 24, 2020. She has joined her husband, John. She is remembered by her beloved daughter Laura Ann, beloved son Joseph, beloved granddaughter Nicole Engelke, beloved great granddaughters Elle and Julia Engelke and all others that her charm, kindness and boundless love has touched. This remembrance shall endure until the end of days.

Ronald Wood (March 26, 1941 – January 23, 2020)

Ronald Allen Wood, 78, of rural Valparaiso, IN, died Thursday, January 23, 2020 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Hobart surrounded by family. He was born March 26, 1941 in Marshalltown, IA, the son of Harold and Eleanor (Oleson) Wood. He married Gloria (Faron) Johnson on August 10, 1973 in Chicago, IL. He was a retired Industrial Engineer and had worked at American Can, Wisconsin Steel and Weil McLean. He was a 1959 graduate of DeKalb High School, DeKalb, IL and was an accomplished member of the DeKalb Barbs wrestling team.
