Mildred (Millie) Lenore Padilla 11/14/1930 to 1/14/2025 Age 94, passed away on January 14, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family after a many-years journey with Alzheimer’s disease. Mildred was born in Canton, Illinois on November 14, 1930, to Guy and Lillian Williams of Chicago, Illinois.   Millie was the second youngest of 13 siblings who preceded her in death. Michael Lewis Hite (December 11, 1941 – January 10, 2025)

Michael Lewis Hite, 83, passed away on January 10, 2025, after a short illness. He was born December 11, 1941, in Pulaski County to Frederick G. and Rena (Danti) Hite. He graduated from North Judson High School and worked several years as an electrician apprentice at Valparaiso University and later retired from Bethlehem Steel after 37 years of service. Michael greatly enjoyed the outdoors, his dogs, crossword puzzles and Jeopardy. James Paul Sullivan, age 68, of Portage, passed away peacefully at his home on January 10, 2025. Born on October 26, 1956, in Evergreen Park to the late Edward and Therese Sullivan. Jim was a dedicated father. He enjoyed watching his tv shows, taking care of his dogs, tinkering with his security cameras and anything else he can get his hands on, keeping up with the lawn, listening to police scanners, and NASCAR. Michael Manna (January 9, 1952 – January 3, 2025)

Michael J. Manna, 72, of Valparaiso, IN, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2025, with his children by his side. He was born in Gary, IN on January 9, 1952 and later attended Lew Wallace High School. He worked for many years at Inland Steel and NIPSCO. Michael loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter. Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Louisa Manna. Michael is survived by his wife Karen Manna; two brothers Anthony Manna and Joe Manna and sister, Jodi Manna; children Kristi (George) Dresbaugh, Jeanna
