Colleen Aguirre, 83, of Highland, IN passed away on Monday, September 1, 2025.
She is survived by her Children; Susan (Michael) Juarez, Anthony Aguirre and Robert (Nora) Aguirre, Grandchildren; Morgan (Fiancé, Camden) Juarez, David Aguirre and Danielle Aguirre, Brother; Michael (Charlotte) Herman and many Nieces and Nephews.
Colleen was preceded in death by her Husband; Antonio Aguirre, and her parents; Robert and Blanche Herman.
Colleen was a skilled beautician for many years, known not only for her talent but also for the way she made every client feel valued and beautiful. Outside of her career, she was an avid animal lover, always opening her heart and home to pets in need.
With her kind and generous spirit, Colleen also founded the organization Operation SOS, through which she dedicated countless hours arranging care packages to be sent to troops overseas. Her efforts brought comfort, love, and a reminder of home to many servicemen and women.
Colleen will be remembered for her compassion, creativity, and unwavering dedication to helping others. She touched the lives of everyone she met with her warmth, generosity, and vibrant energy.
A Funeral Mass in Colleen’s honor will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 16th at St. Stanislaus Church, 808 W. 150th St., East Chicago, IN 46312.
Visitation will take place at the church from 10:00 to 11:00 am, prior to the Mass.
