Karen Winnermark, 65, of Kouts, went to be with the Lord the morning of November 25, 2021. It is especially fitting that she made this beautiful transition on Thanksgiving, a day recognized for being thankful. Being a spiritual counselor herself, Karen would have been particularly grateful for being able to spend such a first day in God's presence. Mildred Mae Winkler, 93, of DeMotte, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home with her loving husband of 74 years by her side.  She is survived by her husband, Robert H.G. Winkler, sons Michael Winkler of Lafayette and Richard (Patricia) Winkler of Loganville, Georgia; grandchildren Tammy (Craig) Synder, Joann (Doug) Anderson, Alec Chase, Rebecca (Anthony) Baronie, Christin (Daniel) Arrendale, Michelle (Jose’) Concepcion, Jennifer Winkler, Shane Winkler, Nicole Winkler, Eric Winkler and Matthew (Nicole) Winkler, and 15 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Rhonda, her daughter Nancy Chase,

Barbara Lee McKinney, 66, of Crown Point, formerly of Lowell, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021. She is survived by her daughter; Brandi (Clint) Mace, Grandchildren; Derek Zachary Mace and Brooke Carolyn Mace, and Brother; Dan (Jane) Neal. Preceded in death by her Father-in-law and Mother-in-law; Bill and Ida McKinney. Barbara was a kind and generous soul who will be greatly missed by so many. Joni Janiece Fouts, age 67, died at home surrounded by her daughters on November 29th, 2021 in Gary, Indiana. She was born on September 15th, 1954 in Gary, Indiana to parents Harry Robert Fouts and Marilyn J Fouts.  Joni is a graduate of Calumet High School and spent many years employed by the Lake Ridge School Systems. In her free time she was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending time in her yard.  She was a great resource when you had questions on how to tend to your own plants.
