Shirley A. Evans was born June 28, 1943 in Gary, Indiana, the daughter of John and Doretha Heard. She attended and graduated from Froebel High School, Gary, Indiana. In March 1972, Shirley married Jerry L. Evans. Shirley was a resident of Gary her entire life and a retired employee of Gary Community School System. Shirley was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on April 18, 1998. She remained faithful to Jehovah the rest of her life. Shirley fell asleep in death on October 3, 2021.
