  Scott Arthur Miller, age 81, of Valparaiso, IN, passed away peacefully at his residence, Tuesday, January 16, 2024. He was born November 30, 1942, in East Gary, Indiana to Arthur and Velma Miller. Scott graduated from Edison Senior High School in 1961 before earning his BS in civil engineering from Purdue University in 1966. He went on to study at Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina. There he met Cheryl (Staley) Miller on a blind date. They were married on July 26, 1969. Scott and Cheryl were blessed

Matthew M. McDermott, 56, of Lowell, IN, formerly of Hazel Crest, IL passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 10, 2024. Preceded in death by his parents; Robert McDermott Sr and Jean McDermott. Survived by his children; Matthew McDermott and Samantha McDermott, siblings; Patricia File, Robert McDermott Jr. Michael (Marie) McDermott, Maureen McDermott, James (Dawn) McDermott, Mary (John) McDermott-Freedom, Kevin (Amy) McDermott and Kathleen (Don) Bridges, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Cynthia (Cindy) Wagner, 67, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2023 peacefully with family around her.
