Alexander Scott McCormick came into this world larger than life on August 22,1998 weighing in at 10 lbs. 8 oz.  He was a mountain of a man in his 6’4” body with a huge heart and personality bigger than life. He left a huge hole in the hearts of all that were lucky enough to know him. He touched so many hearts in his short life.

Alex grew up in Turnersville, NJ and attended Washington Township High School.  At 16, Alex landed his first job with IHOP on Berlin Cross Keys Road. Many of us didn’t think he would last two weeks.  We were wrong, he became a hard-working young man that earned the respect of his co-workers and his managers.  He joined the Army to serve his country and hoped to come home and utilize the GI Bill to further his education.  Unfortunately, his plan did not come to fruition as his health caused an early discharge.

Returning home to NJ, he followed in his dad’s footsteps taking a job in Lawnside at UPS. His hard work and positive attitude got him promoted to shift supervisor.  His colleagues held him in high esteem.  He certainly made his dad proud of his work ethic.

Alex’s best friend, Jake Cook, asked him to come out to Chicago for a new job at a bottle manufacturing company.  Alex loved the new life there with Jake and his wife Sina and moved on to the metal packaging company Ardagh, where he worked at the time of his passing.  He became a workaholic, striving to make his new dream come true.  He wanted his two younger siblings to join him at a house he was going to purchase.

Alex leaves behind a loving mother, Kimberely Kukielka (Josh) and a devoted father, Jeffrie McCormick (Danielle). He is survived by his sister Abigayle McCormick, and his brothers, Gabe McCormick, Aidan Kukielka and step siblings Kryn Hooker and Luke Kelsey.   Alex also left behind his adoring grandmother Meme (Dot Ivins), late (Larry Ivins) and loving grandparents, his (Poppy) RonTilley and his (Nana) Connie Tilley.  Alex has three uncles, Dave and Chuck McCormick and Christopher Tilley. His two aunts Ansley Tilley and Chris McCormick as well as two cousins Ceceri Tilley and Cadden McCormick.  Last but certainly not least are his three prized possessions: Apollo, Artemis, and Asphi, his cats.
