Carlos E. Cruz, 79, of Hobart, IN formerly of East Chicago, IN passed away May 1st, 2024.
He was born and raised in Ponce, Puerto Rico.
Carlos is survived by his wife, Migdalia, of 52 years, as well as 4 daughters: Angelica, Alicia, Maritza, and Rosa Maria. He was blessed with 16 grandchildren; Maria Isabel “Isa”, Jose “Papo”, Ramiro “Lil Ram”, Manuel “Tony”, Alyssa, Marisol, Brianna, Savio, Jessica, Migdalia “Dalia”, George, Alexia, Marius, Michael, David & Christina, including 14 more great grandchildren.
He was the hometown mechanic in E.C. and loved working on friends’ and family’s cars. He will be truly missed by those who loved him.
He didn’t have much to give in the way of worldly goods, yet he left behind a treasure he hoped you understood…Jesus!
