Gary L. Schima of Hobart, IN passed away under hospice care, on March 19, 2024.
He is survived by his Daughters; Lisa (Chris) Williams, and Bethany (Dalton) Peek,
Grandchildren; Michael (14), Austin (9), Wednesday (2), and Naomi (2),Brother; Frank Schima, and Sister; Cheryl Olsen.
Preceded in death by his second wife Caren Hanlin (2022).
Gary was born in Rensselaer, Indiana to Frank and Maxine Schima. He resided in the beautiful mountainous areas of Cleveland, TN and Greenville, SC for 15 years of his life.
He was a talented welder for many years, as well as a gifted painter, depicting scenery such as mountains, oceans and sunsets.
Gary had a great sense of humor and will be greatly be missed by so many.
To honor Gary’s memory, a service will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday April 6, 2024 at City Point Church, 6474 Central Ave. Portage, Indiana 46368.
