Jim Proft, 65, of Lake Station, formerly of Miller Beach, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2019.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Kim Proft, Children; Son; James (Heather) Proft, Grandchildren; Nathaniel, Brady, and Austin, Mother; Gerry Proft, Siblings; Berry Proft, Holly (Dave) Araki, Lynn (Bryan) Cox, Alison (Fred) Morgan, and friends who were like brothers to him; Steven (Sue) Kovachevich, and Mickey (Rena) Wright.
Preceded in death by his Father, Benjamin Proft.
Jim was an avid fisherman and frequent gambler who also enjoyed sailing and taking hikes in the Dunes with his childhood friend, Steven.
