Joseph (affectionately known as Joe) Edward McClendon-Brough was born October 20, 1999. He departed this life on October 29, 2021. Joe loved music and sports and showed great talent. He played baseball from the tender age of four to the age of sixteen, and Miller Little League was Joe’s second family. He is also remembered for his love of music, language and humor. Joe used singing, acting and poetry as beautiful ways to express himself and enjoyed reading books on a wide variety of subjects. Joe attended Wirt-Emerson Visual and Performing Arts High Ability Academy where he loved singing in the Choir and performing in musical theater.
Joe attended high school at Hammond Academy of Science and Technology (HAST), where he was active in the Poetry Club and played on the Baseball Team. After graduation, he developed a passion for Auto Mechanics. Predeceased by his grandparents Edward McClendon, Mabel Smallwood, John Ronald and Shirley Brough, Uncles Brian Brough, Sean Knightly, Aunt Glenda Lee and Cousin Jason Brough. Joe leaves to cherish his memory, his parents Yvonne McClendon and Tracy Brough, his sister Kasey McClendon-Brough and devoted partner Skylar Burgess, as well as many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends in Indiana, New Jersey, Ohio and Texas. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him. There will be a Celebration of Life held for Joe at a future date. Cremation at the convenience of the family.
