Nancy Olivadoti, 88, a long-time resident of the Merrillville area, passed away the 1st of January, 2020.

At her request, a private service will be held with immediate family.

Nancy was born on August 13, 1931 in Niles, Michigan, to Arnold and Lucile Krueger. She graduated from Westville High School in 1950. She taught 1st grade at Westville School and was loved by her students. She went back to Ball State the next year to finish her degree in Education. After graduation, she and four of her Ball State friends ventured to Coronado Island, California, where she taught for 5 years before returning to Indiana.

Nancy met the love of her life, Tony Olivadoti, through a neighbor and great friend. She and Tony produced four children, Dominic Olivadoti, Maria Pavel, Onofrio Olivadoti, and Joseph (Debra) Olivadoti. She is also survived by 2 granddaughters, Courtney Olivadoti and Kelsey Olivadoti and her sister, Karen Dudeck.

Nancy’s love of books took her to a job as a reference paraprofessional at the Lake County Library. She then worked for Northwest Indiana Area Library Services Authority (NIALSA).

Preceded in death are her parents Arnold & Lucile Krueger, her husband Tony Olivadoti, and her sister Patt Jones.
