Ricky Sanders, 52 of Portage, IN passed away surrounded by family on May 13, 2021.
He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Dana McGowin, Children; Sheri (Adrian) Ruiz, Thomas Sanders, and Tiffany Sanders, Grandchildren; Avery (7), Liam (6), Aria (5), and Amelia (4), his Sister; Tammy Sanders and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ricky loved watching Nascar, and helping others in their time of need. He lived for each day, and wanted to do his own thing- living everyday by his own rules. He was often the life of the party, which means he almost always needed a ride home from functions. But his genuine personality afforded him plenty of great friendships, and his Grandbabies gravitated to him.
A memorial celebration in honor of Ricky will be held Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 3:00 pm at 2700 Knox St., Lake Station, IN.
