On Monday, August 19, 2019, Robert Otano, loving husband and father of two children, passed away at the age of 53 surrounded by family and friends.
Rob was born on September 19, 1965 in Gary, IN to George and Rosa Otano. On April 22,1992 he married Pamela (Burkhardt) Otano. They raised two sons together, Jesse and Zachary.
Rob had a passion for fishing. He also loved to go camping. By combining these two passions in his life he was able to have great times with his children and wife on family outings and camping trips. He was also an avid mechanic and by being so, he taught many life lessons to his children. He was known for his quick wit, sarcastic sense of humor, and generally uplifting character.
He is survived by his wife Pamela of 33 years and his sons, Jesse and Zachary. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 23, 2019 at Memory Lane in 6305 W Lincoln Hwy, Crown Point, IN 46307 from 12-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family will be greatly appreciated.
