Robert E. Sills, 71, of Gary, Indiana, died Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at his residence.He was born July 1, 1954, in Pekin, Illinois, to Martin C. and Mildred J. (Croney) Sills.Surviving are his sister, Sandra C. Denys of Lowell, Indiana; his brother, Charles B. Sills of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers J. Dean Key and J. Martin Sills.Mr. Sills was a longtime resident of Mackinaw, Illinois, a U.S. Army veteran, and a member of Mackinaw Christian Church, where he served as custodian.Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, November 24, at Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Mackinaw, Illinois.Burial will be at Mackinaw Township Cemetery on Tuesday, November 25.
