Taima Renee LaFountain, born July 24th, 1991 in Augsburg, Germany, passed away suddenly on the morning of March 28th, 2023, in Hobart, Indiana. She was 31 years old.

Taima moved to the United States when she was only one year old and attended St. Adalbert’s Catholic School in South Milwaukee, WI until 2001. In 2001 she moved with her family to Necedah, WI where she attended Necedah Elementary, Middle, and High School. She graduated from Necedah High School in 2009 as Co-Valedictorian of her class. She was also a member of the volleyball team, powerlifting team, track team, basketball team, Jester’s Club, National Honors Society, band, choir, Honors Choir and Band, and worked the after-school program at Necedah Area Schools. Taima was also Prom Queen her Junior year at Necedah High School. She was also a Catechism Teacher at St. Francis of Assisi Parish. Taima attended Viterbo University from 2009-2011 where she majored in Biopsychology and was also a member of the track team and sang in a church choir. She would go on to get an Associate’s Degree in Medical Coding from Herzing University in Madison, WI in 2015 and would get her CNA license shortly before completing her Associate’s Degree.

Taima is survived by her three children, Motega, age 10, Donte, age 8, and Noelle, age 3, her mother Claudia, age 64, her father Du Wayne, age 61, her grandmother, Donna age 81, and her brothers Justin, Du Wayne, and Marcel, ages 37, 33, and 26. Taima is remembered as a loving mother, sister, and daughter who put her whole self into making sure her children had the best life that they could. Her loving smile and bright personality are the best parts of her that will be remembered for decades to come.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 22nd, 2023 beginning at 12:00 pm at the Necedah Veterans Memorial Hall in Necedah, WI. We will also be collecting money for the children and putting it away for when they turn 18 years old so each of them can have one last gift from their mother to help them in adulthood.
