Wayne W. Clendenin, 73, of Chesterton, passed away Monday, April 13, 2020. He was born on April 16, 1946 in Louisville, KY, the son of Ralph and Alma Clendenin, who preceded him in death. On January 26, 1974, he married Ellen Rattray, who preceded him in death in 2007.
Surviving are his children: Deanna (Tom) Brueggert, Wayne (Jackie) Clendenin, Robert (Heather) Clendenin, Jonathan (Jamie) Clendenin. Grandchildren; Josh (deceased), Kaitlyn, Holly, Tommy Brueggert, Chloe, Echo, Ronin, Magnus Clendenin, Matthew, Kylee, Chevy, Jonathan Clendenin. Siblings; Donna (Ron) Dunbar, Dean Clendenin, Martha (Tony) Campolattara.
Wayne was a Vietnam Veteran and served as 1st Lieutenant United States Army, 111th Corps of Engineers (Water Supply). Wayne was a Master Carpenter, an avid cubs fan, enjoyed bowling, hunting and spending time with his friends and family. Memorial Donations may be made to the American Legion Post 170 or Dunes Hospice. A memorial for Wayne will be held at a later date.
