Yvonne Larson, 72, of Crown Point, Indiana, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2025, at Majestic Care. A beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Yvonne will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her infectious sense of humor, and her deep faith.

Born on September 19, 1952, Yvonne was a lifelong follower of God and a dedicated member of the Lutheran church. Her faith was a guiding light throughout her life, shaping her kindness, her compassion, and her enduring strength.

Yvonne was the proud mother of three daughters: Shara (Brian), Shawna (Donnie), and Shelly (Justin). Her legacy lives on in her nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her endless pride and joy.

She is also survived by her two sisters, Sheila (Terry) and Linda (Bob), as well as several nieces and nephews. Her “sissy” Sheila held a special place in her heart—not only as a sister, but as her best friend and devoted caregiver. After Yvonne spent 25 years living in Kansas, Sheila and Terry lovingly brought her back home to Indiana three years ago. Sheila and Terry will always cherish their memories of picnicking, fishing, casinos, and Church Sundays with breakfast together.

For over 20 years, Yvonne shared a special bond with her best friend, Chris, whose companionship brought her comfort and happiness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lorn and Neola Larson. Yvonne was especially close to her father, Lorn, whose love and guidance shaped much of who she was. The bond they shared remained a source of strength and comfort to her throughout her life.

Yvonne was known for her contagious laugh and sense of humor, a quality that brightened every room she entered. She had a lifelong love of animals, especially cats, who held a special place in her heart. She enjoyed watching Kansas City Chiefs football games, puzzles, casino games, and reading.

Yvonne’s presence was a blessing to all who knew her, and her memory will be cherished by the many lives she touched.

Visitation with family at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Highland on Saturday, May 24 at 9:30 am, followed by a service at 10:30.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests a donation to the Humane Society in Yvonne’s memory.
