Leslie Newton Walls, born on March 15, 1966 in Hammond, Indiana, passed away to be with our Lord and Savior on November 8, 2020, at age 54, while at his home in Lake Station, Indiana.

Les was an avid hunter and fisherman and was well known in the marshes and on the shoreline. He favored Jasper-Pulaski Game preserve as his hunting area and was relentless in his pursuit of Lake Michigan trout and salmon from shore. Hunting and fishing were his passion.

Les was preceded in death by his parents, Janice Faye (Jett) and Earnest Newton Walls, his sister Kara (Michael) Gruenwald, and his brother Earnest (Brenda) Walls.

Les is survived by his wife of 23 years, Susan (Owen) Walls, his daughter Jennifer Peppin, his teenage son Trevor Walls, his sister Kathy (Danny) Hurley, his brother Kenneth (Karen) Walls, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The Celebration of Life for Leslie N. Walls will be held Tuesday November 17, 2020 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the Great Oaks Banquet Hall, 13109 Wicker Ave, Cedar Lake, IN 46303. Come join us in cherishing our memories of Les and celebrating all of our good times together. We will meet and greet from 4:00pm to 4:30pm. Dinner will be served at 4:30pm. After dinner we are planning visitation in an open forum for family and friends to share a story or a memory of Les from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.
