Penny Carter (November 9, 1946 – January 11, 2021)

Penny "GG"( Schroeder)  Carter passed away on January 11,2021, surrounded by her somewhat dysfunctional family. Penny was born on November 9, 1946 in Michigan City, Indiana. She was the fourth of nine children. In 1966, while working as a secretary at the Indiana State Prison, she met her future husband. Don't worry, he was a guard, not a prisoner. Olive Irene Bales (nee Broomhead), 98, passed away January 8, 2021 surrounded by her  family. She was born on December 31, 1922 in Lansing IL to the late Joseph and Lillian (Drunecke) Broomhead. She married Raymond Bales and together they raised 2 children. She was a homemaker and an excellent cook. Sandra Lee (Werth) Woods, age 68, of Cedar Lake, IN passed away early in the morning on January 1st, 2021. She was a beloved wife of Thomas W. Woods for a wonderful 51 years.
