James Brown, 83, passed away Tuesday 5/28/2024. He is survived by his loving wife, his son & daughter-in-law, son-in-law, three grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his daughter, parents, three sisters and one brother. James was a graduate of East Gary Edison and retired from US Steel. He greatly enjoyed being with family. He was a retired machinist, inventor and former co-owner of a 'Chicken Unlimited' restaurant. Please contact the family directly for details regarding the private funeral service to be held.

Mary Key, 92, of Crown Point, IN, passed away peacefully at her son's home on Saturday, May 25, 2024. One of nine children, Mary grew up in Mount Harris, Colorado. She later married and had three sons. Preceded in death by her husband, two sons, and her siblings. Mary will be remembered as a loving Mother, Grandmother, Aunt and friend. She will be missed by those who loved her.

James A. Ash, 76, of La Porte, IN passed away peacefully at home with family by his side, on Thursday, May 23, 2024. He is survived by his children, James Ash Jr. and Michelle (Samuel) Schmid, grandchildren, Tyler Ash; Jacob (Gabbie) Merton; Gregorio Ash and Samson Ash, great grandchildren, Aubree Merton; Winter Merton; Madison Merton; Kennedy Merton; and a sister, Charlotte Middleton. James was preceded in death by his parents, Vernal and Maxine Ash (maiden Robinson), and siblings, George Ash; Vernal "Butch" Ash; Phyllis Ash-Stephens, and Marilyn Ash-Wolford.    

Ronald K. McClanahan of Cedar Lake, Indiana passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2024. He is survived by his daughters, Alexandria McClanahan and Alyssa McClanahan, grandchildren, Gaige; Emmersyn; Charlotte; Violet; Cashton and Easton, sisters, Kelly McClanahan and Rene McClanahan, niece Kennedy, nephew, Tony, and great nieces, Finnley and Zariah. Preceded in death by his parents; Morris McClanahan and Joan Manifold-Ellis, niece Mandi Johnson and nephew Justin Johnson. Jeffrey R. DeLay (69), of Brook, Indiana passed away unexpectedly, on May 17, 2024. He was born in Rensselaer, Indiana on February 12, 1955. Jeff is a graduate of South Newton High School, class of 1973. He also attended Purdue University. Jeff was an extremely talented gardener. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing (especially ice fishing), and mushroom hunting. He also enjoyed helping others when he could, even after death. His organs were donated through the Indiana Donor Network. Jeff most enjoyed spending time with his only child. They raised livestock
