Thomas Pumnea Sr. (March 11, 1940 – February 14, 2024)

Thomas Wayne Pumnea Sr., 83, of Crown Point, IN passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024. Thomas was born March 11, 1940 in East Chicago, IN to John and Regina Pumnea. He was raised in Hammond (Hessville) and remained til he moved to Crown Point in 1999. Thomas retired after 42 dedicated years, through Local 1011 as a Millwright at Youngstown/J&L/LTV. Among Thomas' favorite hobbies were bowling, poker, fishing and bullshitting. Pikoon Simpson (August 9, 1953 – February 7, 2024)

We regret to announce the passing of Pikoon Simpson, 70, who passed away surrounded by family and loved ones on February 7, 2024. Pikoon had a difficult battle with cancer and is finally at rest. She will be forever loved and forever remembered as a wife, mother and friend. Pikoon is survived by her husband Curtiss and her five loving children; Penny, Dennis, Andrew, Jennifer and Michael and eight grandchildren. Her final wish was to have her family and friends spread her ashes in Thailand. No services will take place,

Jeannine M. Harris, 55, of Valparaiso, IN formerly of Hammond, IN, passed away surrounded by her family and friends, on Sunday, February 11, 2024. She is survived by her children; Derek (Lyndsi) Harris, Dillon Jamrock and Madison Jamrock, grandson; Jackson Harris, mother; Jerry Harris and brother; James (Amy) Harris. Preceded in death by her father; James Harris. Jeannine will be remembered most for being a loyal Chicago Cubs and Bears fan.

Christopher J. Schneider, 72, passed away on 2/12/24 after a long illness. Beloved husband of Joanne Murphy for 32 years. Frank Mlynarczyk Jr (September 27, 1936 – February 8, 2024)

Frank Anthony Mlynarczyk, Jr passed away on February 8 after a long and happy life. Frank was born in Hammond, Indiana on September 27, 1936. After getting caught smoking one too many times at St. Bonaventure, he graduated from Bishop Noll High School, then spent four years touring the world for the US Navy as a radarman on a destroyer. He married Joyce Elizabeth Elbers on August 20, 1960. He retired from Inland Steel in 1991 and spent his golden years on “the farm” in Lowell, where he thoroughly enjoyed
