Thomas Wayne Pumnea Sr., 83, of Crown Point, IN passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024.
Thomas was born March 11, 1940 in East Chicago, IN to John and Regina Pumnea. He was raised in Hammond (Hessville) and remained til he moved to Crown Point in 1999. Thomas retired after 42 dedicated years, through Local 1011 as a Millwright at Youngstown/J&L/LTV.
Among Thomas’ favorite hobbies were bowling, poker, fishing and bullshitting.
Thomas is survived by his wife of 64 years; Virginia, children; Deborah Adorjan, Joanne Terek, Denise (James) Kamizeles and Thomas (Wendy) Pumnea Jr., son in law; Dave Whitworth, grandchildren; Nicholas, Dawn, Mathew, Leslie, Christopher, Sydney, Allison, Brooke, Nicholas and great grandchildren; Antonio, Ryne, Peyton, Alexa, Haley, Kayla, Mathew, Michael, Makena, Amelia and Kanyon.
Preceded in death by parents; John and Regina Pumnea, daughter; Cheryl Whitworth, brother; Jack Palmer, son in law; Rob Terek and grandson; David.
A Celebration of Life will be announced by the family at a later date.
