Jerry L. Staff was born May 28th, 1936 and passed at home on September 19th, 2023. Jerry was a Navy Veteran and a hard working millwright. He was such a family man and he always made sure everyone was taken care of and well loved. Jerry is survived by his children; Helen Richards (Bo), Charity Staff, Tarri Sherrick (Jim), Jerry Staff (Beth), and Crystal Wasowicz (Thomas), along with multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jerry was preceded in death by his beloved wife Carolyn J. Staff and his grandson Shane D.

Eric Root, 51, of Gary, IN formerly of Hammond, IN passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 17, 2023. Preceded in death by his Parents; David and Shirley Root, Uncle Phil Arnold and Fiance Heather Fouts. He is survived by his Son; Brandon (Jazlyn) Root, Grandson; Hudson Root and Siblings; Joanne (James) Rinella and Teresa (Mike) Tamme. In observance of Eric's wishes, there will be no services prior to, or following the private cremation.
